- Longlasting
Solid-Wood-Structures like our Vayu-home can easily last for centuries. Many wood-buildings constructed in medieval times e.g. in Europe or Japan are showing this. - Mould? Never!
Mould is not only a health risk, but is also responsible for a lot of structural damage to conventionally built homes.
Because the wall construction allows diffusion (“breathing walls”) there is absolutely no danger of mould.
And contrary to standard "Vapor-Barrier"-walls, the Vayu-wall construction is not easily damaged but built to last. - High Fire-Resistance
The "Solid-Wood-Wall" has through its density and the contained moisture a very high fire-resistance. In case of fire it will protect you for a long time.
As there are no air-vents in the walls, in case of fire, a complete burndown is unlikely and the surface of the structure can be restored with little effort. - High Dimensional Stability
The cross-layer construction of the "Solid-Wood-Wall" gives it very high dimensional stability, as wood never expands in longitudinal direction. Even in extreme conditions there will be no shrinking or settling and therefore no related building damages.
